Fresco Fresco (literally, ‘fresh fresh’) is how chef-patron Giovanni Iozzi describes the food at this traditional Italian restaurant. It’s situated right in the heart of the pretty and historic Lancashire village of Croston. There has been a restaurant on this site for a number of years but Fresco Fresco has only been trading since 2001. The cuisine is traditional Italian restaurant with a southern influence. Steak and fish dishes are a speciality with Fillet Fresco Fresco (beef fillet with lobster and crayfish sauce) the most popular dish. The specials menu changes weekly, as does the special wine menu. The house wine is a very reasonable £10.20 per bottle. Fresco Fresco currently runs a midweek special offer (see below) and like most Italian restaurants is very child friendly with half portions of all pizza/pasta dishes for £5.50. If you’re local you’ll already know about Fresco Fresco; if not, it’s worth the trip.
